Student Training Internship at the “Agronomic Research Station” of NUBiP
From June 23–25, there was an educational practice in the discipline of “Crop Production” for second-year students of the Faculty of Agrobiology, specialty 201 “Agronomy”. The practice was conducted at the farm of V.P. NUBiP “Agronomic Research Station” in Pshenychnoye village, Kyiv region.
Under the guidance of the Department of Crop Production teachers, students actively worked in the fields of the farm, performing practical tasks:
- monitoring crop conditions and determining plant density;
- observing phenological phases of crop development;
- analyzing the condition of the root system and above-ground mass of corn, sunflower, soybeans;
- accounting for productive stems of winter and spring cereals;
- biometric measurements of crops and determining biological yield.
The training was successfully combined with active leisure — evenings were spent playing football and volleyball.
The culmination was the “Field Day” organized by NUBiP, where teachers and students became acquainted with the results of innovative research from departments and new agricultural technologies.
The event was also joined by the company Life Biochem.
- Bohdan Avramchuk, product development manager, presented the company’s portfolio: liquid complex fertilizers, micro- and macronutrients, stress relievers, adhesives, pH correctors, as well as biopreparations — bioinsecticides, biofungicides, nitrogen fixers, phosphorus-potassium mobilizers, and post-harvest residue destructors.
- Vitalii Avramchuk, regional representative, spoke about the capabilities of the “Microbiolab” laboratory: analysis of soils, fertilizers, water, plants, seeds, and identification of disease pathogens, which helps farmers increase production profitability.
The practice became an important step in training young agronomists by combining science, education, and modern biotechnological solutions.
