Microorganisms that are part of the product emit a wide range of antibiotics, organic acids and enzymes that have a detrimental effect on pathogenic microorganisms. The mechanism of displacement and destruction of the pathogen is based on several morphological and biochemical properties of microorganisms of the product:

1. The struggle for a place of coexistence. Due to the low need for nutrients, microorganisms that are part of the product from the moment of entering the open environment, very quickly increase their number per unit area, which leads to the physical displacement of pathogenic bacteria.
2. Metabolic products (antibiotics, enzymes, organic acids) destroy or block the development of the pathogen cell and destroy or prevent the formation of biofilms.
3. All microorganisms of the product are capable of forming spores and mucus, which protects them from adverse environmental conditions and lack of nutrients – the product has prolonged action. Under favorable conditions, the spores germinate again and the vegetative cell again acts as a fungicide.
